I have just returned from a long range planning meeting in Seattle for the Glass Art Society Board of Directors. It was a quick and thick meeting. I will be writing more about the meeting for the next GASNews edition, so check it out!
While I was gone, a couple nice events have happened.
Firstly, a show conceived and curated by Aimee Sones and Jessica Larva called the Tracing Lines was launched at The Ohio State University Urban Arts Space in Columbus, Ohio, in January 2012. I also received a copy of a publication from the Art Gallery of Western Australia that is called Translucence: contemporary glass that details some glass work that they have added to their collection that they have built into a show celebrating 10 years of the Tom Malone Prize.
